Outflow Discussion 2

Hello, I’m glad you have checked in again.  In the last few days I was pondering the idea of being a fountain for the Kingdom of God, and if I was an overflowing, abundant fountain or a trickling almost dried up fountain.  The book states that fountains are supposed to be overflowing with water and that a dried up fountain is sad and depressing.  I know that life can be tough and we all have our moments where we struggle to be the image of Christ that we are called to be, but where are you right now?  Are you a dried up fountain or are you bubbling over with life?  The top of pg. 22 states “When you become a friend of Jesus-when you believe so fully in his love-you’re able to experience life to the fullest.  Life as it was meant to be: full of relationship, love, purpose, adventure, and fulfillment.”  Are you experiencing this endless life, this gushing fountain within you that Jesus promised?  If not pray that God will begin to fill you above and beyond what you feel is possible with his love, peace, purpose and make you an overflowing, bubbling fountain.  Remember “We can do all things with Christ who strengthens us”, so continue to pray, read your word and read Outflow with the understanding that Christ is waiting to flow fresh everlasting water into and out of your life.

I like the picture on page 23 of the fountain. Visuals make things easy to understand and this fountain makes it clear how filling up from the Holy Spirit will fill us and then we can flow over to those around us and on and on. Everything we do touches others so I would like to stay filled and close to God so that I can overflow with his love.
